I am delighted to be joining the team at Liberty Woodland School. I think it’s the perfect opportunity for me to combine my experience in horticulture with my background in design and early years education.
Following years working as an designer and facilitator on projects from educational product design to large scale public art trails, seeking a move to an environmentally sustainable career, I retrained in horticulture through the Worshipful Company of Gardener's Programme “Future Gardeners”. I most recently worked at Chelsea Physic Garden, where I also completed my RHS training. Chelsea was also where I developed my interest in the history of botany and the varied uses of plants.
I’ve since been able to work with the teams at Sissinghurst & Fulham Palace, and learn from the organic growers at Knepp and a Michelin Star grower in Gleneagles, among others.
I’m excited to develop the garden and work with the children to boost the amount of seasonal edible produce grown on site, offering opportunities for education and mindful activity within a beautiful biodiverse space.
