At Liberty Woodland School, we dedicate 45 minutes of every school day to pastoral care, supporting our young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. All of our educators are trained to observe and support young people with their mental health and to nurture their passion for learning.
There is a strong focus on ‘learning to learn’ through the systematic development of approaches to learning, skills for communication, collaboration, organisation, self-management, reflection, research, creative and critical thinking. Interdisciplinary teaching and learning builds a connected curriculum that addresses the developmental needs of students and prepares them for further academic study in an increasingly interconnected world.
